Please note that because I am currently unable to get out to my other job due to illness I am opening the shop, which is something I am capable of doing, 10-5 Monday to Saturday for the next three weeks. Customers would be appreciated to make up for loss of earnings elsewhere! I will also open anytime during the day you request. I can sit selling books but I cant, for now, do much else. So take this chance to get in and visit us.

Think you know all about ducks? Want to know more? Love them or loath them (surely not!)a new book is being launched called “Know your Ducks”. It is by Jack byard, who wrote “Know Your Sheep” and started a whole industry pf Know Your… books. He will be helping to launch the book at Saltaire Bookshop on Thursday 7th July. The event lasts from 7pm-830 and there is just a small; entry fee of £2 to cover costs, including a drink. Hope to see ou there. There are many sorts of ducks, in various shapes and sizes and colours - find out more on 7th July.

July’s Reading Group will be on Monday 18th July at 7pm. We shall be reading Edna O’Brien’s “Country Girls”. New people very welcome. Come and join us.
