A M Bakalar, author of “Madame Mephisto” and nom de plume of Asia Monika Zgadzaj is coming to Saltaire Bookshop on Thursday 14th June at 6pm. Magda is a new migrant to London from Poland. Apart from dealing in drugs, she struggles to come to terms with the differences between Poland and her family at home and her adopted city of London.
