Having contemplated my future for a while  I have decided to close the Bingley Rd shop in June. This will not, however, mean the end of Saltaire Bookshop. There isnt any future for it on the high street. However, I am taking the shop to my house, which I have been planning for a while. From June 30th the new site will be 1 Myrtle Place, Saltaire. It will be a mix of internet selling and will be open for customers on Fridays and Saturdays and by arrangement at other times. Amongst the features that will continue are

* The Thursday evening events

* The Reading Groups

* Book ordering service

* Quality Second hand books - two rooms at 1 Myrtle Place will be stock full of books.

General new books, DVDs and popular fiction will discontinue from June.

There will be a sale of books at 217 Bingley Rd starting now. The new space is not as big and so I will need to sell some books.  New books will be for sale at either half the cover price or three for two or related sales. There will be fantastic offers on second hand titles.

I will keep you posted on progress but meanwhile put the new venue in your diaries. There will be a launch in July, with a launch party. The current bookshop continues with all cylinders firing until then.
