Our event on Thursday 9th July is a quiz and promotion of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The author, Martin Walker, will be presenting the book and the questions. As usual the event starts at 6.30pm and costs £2.50 to cover refreshments and the regular raffle. Hope to see you there

We have recently purchased a very substantial collection of military books, covering the two world wars, various assorted books from other wars and collections of military magazines such as a run of “The Bulletin”, published by the Military Historical Society. A must for all collectors of militaria and historians of wars in the twentieth century. Please call in or e-mail us with wants/enquiries.

Recently we have had a number of people not picking up books. Consequently we have a large number of books behind the counter without a home! These are often non-returnable. So we are now forced to charge in advance if the books are available. We are happy to take phone orders or e-mail but please bear in mind that an order is an order! Please order from us and we undertake to deliver asap. We pride ourselves on our prompt ordering service. We hope you appreciate that as a small concern we cannot afford to stockpile books we are unable to return.

We are having another one of our popular quizzes on Thursday May4th. 6.30-8pm. Come along and pit your wits against others on a fun evening where the chat is light hearted, the questions varied and the company eminently congenial. We charge £2.50 which covers refreshment, the quiz itself and a book token for the winner.
